Reflexology

Stimulate your body's own natural healing process.

Reflexology is a holistic therapy which uses distinct markers on the foot to promote healing throughout the whole body. Pressure is applied to pressure points on the feet that correspond to the individual parts of the body. It aims to restore balance and harmony by increasing the circulation to the internal organs and glands through the feet. By working on the reflexes homeostasis can be achieved by un-blocking energy that stagnates in the feet.
Reflexology can be used to treat a wide range of symptoms, including:
-
Anxiety
-
Backache
-
Headaches
-
Period pains
Reflexology can also be used to maintain good health and as a form of preventative medicine.
Aromatherapy

Relax your body and clear your mind

Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy that treats the mind, body and spirit. When essential oils are applied to the body during a massage, the essential oils enter the skin through the hair follicles where they are absorbed in to the blood stream and circulated around the body.
Aromatherapy is used today to help to relieve pain, improve mood, and promote a sense of relaxation. Some conditions for which aromatherapy may be helpful include:
-
Alopecia (hair loss)
-
Agitation
-
Anxiety
-
Constipation
-
Insomnia
-
Itching
-
Psoriasis
-
Pain arising from rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, and headache.
Swedish Massage

Rid your body of tension and let your muscles relax

One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. Some conditions that Swedish Massage may help to relieve include:
-
Anxiety
-
Digestive disorders
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Headaches
-
Insomnia related to stress
-
Soft tissue strains or injuries
-
Sports injuries
-
Temporomandibular joint pain.

Hot Stones Massage
Rebalance your body and mind with gentle warmth.
Hot stone massage uses soothing oils, warm basalt and sometimes cold marble stones to relax your muscles, allowing for a deeper and more intense all-over massage. In hot stone therapy, I apply smooth, water-heated basalt stones to key points on your body. This direct heat relaxes your muscles, which means that the massage itself is more effective and intense than it would be otherwise. The size of the stones varies, according to which part of the body I am treating. It is extremely important to make sure you are well hydrated before and after this treatment.
Hot stone massage is beneficial in a variety of health conditions:
-
Back pain and aches
-
Poor circulation
-
Arthritis
-
Osteoarthritis
-
Stress, anxiety and tension
-
Insomnia
-
Depression

Deep Tissue Massage
Realign, release and nurture with slower, deeper, concentrated pressure.
Deep Tissue Massage is a nurturing massage involving the use of slow, firm techniques to relax, lengthen and release restrictions in muscle and connective tissue layers.
Massage strokes used often involve the use of the forearms, knuckles and elbows to to work at a 'deeper' tissue level.
It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
Deep Tissue Massage can help with the following conditions:-
-
Chronic pain
-
Limited mobility
-
Recovery from injuries (e.g. whiplash, falls, sports injury)
-
Repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
-
Postural problems
-
Ostearthritis pain
-
Fibromyalgia
-
Muscle tension or spasm
